This helps leaders acquire actionable insights that help to create employee-friendly policies thereby creating strong trust between the employees and the employer, the most important factor for good leadership according to Simon Sinek. In his TED Talk, Sinek asks what makes employees accept and follow certain managers, and comes to two important conclusions: Developing the right environment ( company culture) is critical to inspiring greatness. Lecture notes simon sinek ted talk the golden circle explains why some leaders are able to inspire and some what how why most people know what doing. While learning leadership qualities is a gradual process, a significant part of being a good leader involves understanding your employees. What must remain consistent is the ability of a leader to trust in their team, keep them as a family and help them feel safe thus allowing them to grow. The dangers, be it new technology, financial crunches, lack of motivation, etc will always be there and will evolve constantly. It has been the same since ancient times and will continue to be the same in the future. Leadership, as Sinek says, is protecting your team against dangers. Simon Sinek has a simple but powerful model for inspirational leadership all starting with a golden circle and the question Why His examples include Apple. ![]() When a leader makes the choice to put the safety and lives of the people inside the organization first, to sacrifice their comforts, and sacrifice the tangible results, so that the people remain and feel safe and feel like they belong, remarkable things happen. This brilliant Ted Talk by Simon Oliver Sinek, a British-American author, and inspirational speaker revolves around why some leaders are so popular and why teams put their heart and soul towards ensuring that the vision of such leaders is realized. In short, good leaders also produce a great set of next-gen leaders. A good leader always puts the interest of their employees over their own and is willing to sacrifice the numbers for the people. This talk suggests that its someone who makes their team members feel. History has seen countless great leaders who have not only been successful but have also ensured that the people who support them or work under them are successful as well. This past March, Sinek did a TED Talk on Why good leaders make you feel safe. ![]()

Make the more graphically advanced stereograms possible. Where the pattern is wider it appears to be further away. This widening or shortening of the pattern alters the illusion ![]() It is possible to create stereograms using repeating alphabetic characters, addingĪ character to drop a level and deleting one to come back up. Instead of vast spaces between symbols, the pattern is usually extended andīutted tight against the next repetition. This principle underlies all stereograms. This example uses equally spaced capital Xs to create a sinking pattern: Primitive stereograms can easily be made using a typewriter, word processor or coloured-in graph paper. This "wallpaper effect" can be seen wherever there is a horizontally repeating pattern, such as inside bank envelopes and Sir David Brewster first observed this effect in Victorian wallpaper, shortly after the discovery of stereoscopic vision. Just by viewing a repeating pattern stereoscopically, it appears to sink away from the page. Viewed by the naked eye and enjoys fame under the name "stereogram". Bela Julesz at the Bell Telephone Research Laboratory, invented the one frame Autostereogram. It was not until forty years later that Dr. Viewed with a stereoscope, differences between the two apparently random pictures slowlyīuilt an image of Venus. The first Random Dot Stereogram was created in 1939 by Boris Kompaneysky andĬonsisted of two blobby designs. With one of the pictures reflected in it. With his nose in line with the join, each eye saw a different mirror Mirrors which came to a point where the viewer stood. Some people find it easier to trick the eye by bringing the page to their nose andĮasing it away without refocusing or by looking at a distant wall and then darting back to the page. As the design slowly takes shape, give it time to form and then try to look around it You need to relax your gaze on the patternĪnd allow your eyes to drift out of focus. To see the image in the stereogram at the top of the page, with the eyes focused behind where the page really is), a three dimensional illusion forms as the subconscienceĭecodes differences in the repeating pattern. Viewed normally, the picture is often no more than frozen television interference. ![]() The "Legs" music video follows a mousy young female shoe store clerk who is harassed by nearly everyone around her. The whole band recorded their parts at Ardent, then Beard and Hill returned home to Texas. Manning phoned Hudson to ask how he had generated the pulsing synth effect. The band recorded the Eliminator album professionally at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, under the guidance of band manager Bill Ham and longtime band recording engineer Terry Manning. Gibbons, Beard and Hill were credited on the album as songwriters. Beard played drums, and Dusty Hill played bass guitar. Gibbons played a Dean ML guitar for both rhythm and lead parts, and sang the lead vocal part. As a result, the synthesizer chords pulsed to a sixteenth-note beat at a tempo of 125 beats per minute. To give the song a sense of propulsion, Hudson created an unusual synthesizer sound by routing the synth's audio signal through a noise gate that was triggered externally by continual sixteenth-note hi-hat samples from a drum machine. The studio held recording equipment installed and operated by live-in engineer Linden Hudson. The band ZZ Top developed the song "Legs" at the home of drummer Frank Beard on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, in the band's rehearsal studio. Problems playing these files? See media help. "Legs" contains electric guitar and vocals from Gibbons, but the bass guitar of Dusty Hill and drums of Frank Beard were replaced in the final mix by engineer Terry Manning who played keyboard bass and drum machine to achieve the style sought by Gibbons. ![]() Pre-production engineer Linden Hudson established the song's pulsing synthesizer line during rehearsals. Like other songs on Eliminator, the musical style of "Legs" shows the band's new interest in electronic music elements, driven by singer-guitarist Billy Gibbons who was pushing to incorporate new wave and synth-pop styles. ![]() The video was placed into heavy rotation on MTV, which helped to lift the single high on the charts. ![]() "Legs" was the third installment of a trilogy of similarly themed videos shot by Tim Newman for Eliminator, and it won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Group.
